Who is she?
I worked in the PR department of a popular sugar daddy website for five years while also navigating the world of “sugaring.” At first I thought it was harmless, what’s the problem with an older guy giving someone money? I slowly learned I was asking the wrong questions.
In November of 1991, I graced this world with my borning cry. November 24th, 1991 at 5:33pm in San Diego, California for those of you checking my birth chart right now you little weirdo I love you. My upbringing was filled with playing outside, jumping off the shed into my dad’s arms then making out with my female neighbor inside when he wasn’t looking. My mom was always cooking, always in the middle of some lovely art project. Despite how I might portray them in the book (which they are barely in at all to be fair), I love them both and have a great relationship with them now. Honestly until I started writing this book back in 2021, I thought I had a great childhood and that it didn’t fuck me up. I did have a great childhood, but it also fucked me up. Both can be true.
I went to elementary school at Lemon Avenue Elementary. Our house was just on the other side of the school’s baseball field and sometimes our dogs would escape onto the playground. I moved on to La Mesa Middle School. There I convinced myself I deserve special treatment by getting involved in Student Council, eventually becoming co-presidents with three other preteens. For school I went across town to Grossmont High, which my mom thought was in a better neighborhood. When she decided she wanted to buy an investment property in Las Vegas, I was only 15 years old and didn’t have a real understanding of the city, but was sort of ready for a new adventure.
